8 miles to get back at it....
Wednesday, January 26th 2011. Ok, so I have been off techinically since last week. I ran a little 2 miles on the dreadmill on Monday night but I don't count those runs. So, tonight I knew I needed to drop the pace down and put in at the least a 8 miler. It was a good run, my legs did well thru most of the run and started to actually hurt some toward the end. I managed to keep the pace around 8:30 min/mile and I am actually happy considering I have been off for so long...my cardio was as strong as ever and I could tell my legs took a slight hit, but mostly my hamstrings. Stiffness was not too bad and I am looking forward to getting in another 8 to 10 tonight as well. Gotta get the mileage back up with the Gusher coming in March. Should be a very good race.
